Reflection

Hey blog. It’s day 2 of me not going to school for reasons I’d rather not display on here. However I miss going to class. I already know this make up work will give me a run for my money. I’m trying to stay positive. Today I copied some notes and did as much work as I could thanks to the lovely Natalya. I’m trying to stay consistent with my blogs so at this point I’m just ranting. I’ll wrap it up here however, hopefully tomorrow I will have a more eventful day to reflect upon. Bye blog!

Reflection

Hey blog. Today was my first absence of the year. I stayed home and slept all day. Shout out to Natalya who sent me all of my notes and work. She is the best. I really hate missing days of school but it is what is. I will be back tomorrow and my reflections are probably going to look different because Mr. Rease says that my previous posts weren’t “reflections”. I will consult with him tomorrow for a better understanding and then I can adjust from there. That’s all for today folks. Later.

Reflection

Today I learned about rhetorical situations. I learned the different components and how to identify and describe then when given a prompt. I can utilize this information to help me better understand texts and speeches. On a totally different note, today was not all that great overall. On a scale from 1 - 10, I rate today’s class a 5.

Reflection

Today’s class was very chill. The other 2/4 groups presented today and I just had to be quiet and pay attention. I enjoyed their presentations. We got our chrome books today and I’m not excited. This just means that teachers are going to be assigning way more work than normal. I quit the volleyball team today as well. It’s a bittersweet moment but I’m going to stay optimistic. On a scale of 1 - 10, I rate today’s class a 9.5.  (P.S. If you’re wondering will I ever rate this class a 10/10… well good luck Charlie.)

Reflection

In today’s class 2/4 groups presented, including mine. We did pretty well but it just wasn’t for me cause I get annoyed easily. Honestly I’m not too fond of group assignments because people are unreliable. We learned that Mr. Rease was in a rock band post high school. Today was pretty chill and I can’t complain too much. On a scale from 1 - 10, I rate today’s class a 9.

Reflection

In today’s class we were assigned groups. We were then giving poems and jobs to do in our groups. I actually liked this activity. I liked that Mr. Rease used a random generator so it wasn’t biased at all. He even let us talk the whole class period (more or less). Tomorrow we will present so hopefully that goes well. On a scale from 1 - 10, I rate today’s class a 8.5.

Reflection

My dream is to become a psychiatrist. I also want to travel the world. I will achieve this by going to college and saving money along the way. I will work hard and stay focused. I can avoid deferring my dream by budgeting my money wisely. I can also maintain good grades in school. I will prioritize my dreams as much as I can. Today’s class was a 6/10.

Reflection

Today’s class was boring. Mr. Rease moved our seats and I don’t necessarily like or dislike the new seating arrangements. We read a poem and he assumed that I was sleep during the lesson which honestly didn’t even bother me like it normally would given anyone else. He made me answer questions but I didn’t argue because he is not worth it. I know I retained the information and was invested in the lesson the first time so the questions were just extra practice for me. Honestly… there’s not too much to say, I’m feeling very apathetic about today’s class. On a scale from 1 - 10, I rate today’s class a 0.

Reflection

Hello fellow readers! Today is Friday the 13th. In today’s class we took two quizzes. One for vocabulary, and the other a unit 1 pretest. To be truthful, I was unaware of the fact we had a quiz today so I was totally unprepared. I learned the definition of 15 words in about 15 mins, more or less.  The pretest was a bit more challenging but I liked the articles we had to read. On a scale from 1 - 10, I rate today’s class an 8.

Reflection

In today’s class we talked about the purpose of reading. When reading you have a purpose, you are reading for certain information. We also talked about formal and informal language. We learned what words and phrases are appropriate for each language. I left class a bit earlier because I had a game but nonetheless, I picked up some valuable information. On a scale from 1 - 10, I would rate today’s class a 8.5.

Reflection

Today’s class was a bit more challenging. We were introduced to complex texts. I learned that a complex text is a text that is more challenging or complicated than usual. Examples of complex texts are poetry, textbooks, and novels. We did a practice text with a complex poem. It was about Satan’s journey to Heaven. To be completely honest, I didn’t like the poem. It was very difficult to understand. I sure with more practice however, that I will get better. On a scale from 1 - 10, I rate today’s class a 6.

Reflections

Today’s class was very enlightening. I learned a new method for process of elimination. When there are four multiple choice answers, two will be guaranteed to be inaccurate. This strategy will come in handy on future tests and even the AP exam. The diagnostic test was fairly simple and I am glad we went over it as a class. I was able to listen to everyone’s else opinions which gave me more insight on the assignment. On a scale from 1 - 10, I rate today’s class a 9.
